BENIN CITY – THE Deputy Governor of Edo State, Hon Dennis Idahosa, has urged the people of the state to enter the New Year by embracing hope, unity and progress, assuring that the year would usher prosperity, joy and fulfilment for the citizens of the state.

Idahosa, according to a statement endorsed by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, gave the charge in his New Year Message to the people of the state.

The statement added that the deputy governor further assured that the Governor Monday Okpebholo-led administration was committed to the well-being and prosperity of the people of the state.

The text of the deputy governor’s message reads “Happy New Year to the good people of Edo state. As we step into this new chapter, I urge us to embrace hope, unity, and progress. May this New Year bring prosperity, joy, and fulfillment to every home and our dear state.

“Be rest assured that the present administration led by Senator Monday Okpebholo remains committed to the wellbeing and prosperity of Edo State and its people.

“Ours is not to lament on the present situation of things in our dear state but to take advantage of the endless possibilities that abound to change the narrative for the betterment of the people.

“The Governor’s commitment remains to put the needs of the state and its people above personal or political differences.

“Let us continue to work together to build a brighter future for our state.”
