Bariadoora Brighten-Saagwe, popularly known as Bari Brighten has described his sound as a blend of traditional and contemporary styles with melodies from Nigeria and Africa at large.
Even with many songs coming out what stands him out is his stylle of music. Which dwells on the message of grace and the finished work of christ on calvary which assures many of victory. Creating music that resonates with the heart of Christians remains at the core of Bari Brighten ministry and he ensures he delivers this judiciously.
On inspiration, he discloses, “I also draw inspiration from other African artists who have attained my desired sound especially when we share similar calling. This connection to my heritage brings authenticity and allows me to connect deeply with my audience, creating a unique and powerful worship experience.”
But what complements his music is the nurturing of the creative process he shares between himself and his band when crafting music ensuring they have a cohesive sound. From the instrumentalists to the back up vocalists each aspect of the whole is crucial to delivering messages laden with impact and purpose.
The worship leader expressed that, “The process always begins with prayer as we invite God to guide our creativity. We work collaboratively, sharing ideas for melodies, lyrics, and rhythms, with everyone contributing their unique perspective. I love how the process is dynamic and inspiring, as we build off each other’s creativity. To ensure a cohesive sound, we keep the message and purpose of the song at the center, aligning every element to create a unified worship experience. Regular rehearsals and open communication help us refine and perfect the music.”
Selection and nurturing of these talents that complement the dedication he puts in his music is very important which is why he seeks individuals who are not only musically gifted but also spiritually grounded and passionate about worship and ministry. Once they’re part of the band, he focuses on nurturing their growth through mentorship, training, and encouragement to step out of their comfort zones. What crowns his effort is that he strives to create a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and inspired, fostering a shared vision for worship and ministry.
