The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has dissociated itself from a viral statement by one of its members claiming the association has endorsed Atiku Abubakar for the 2027 presidential election.

A statement by the National President, Dr. Rabiu Farouk Mudi, and the National Secretary, Dr. Mambila, AFAN stressed that the post purportedly made by one Ado A Ado Kano was not authorised by it.

The statement reads: “The opinions and views expressed here are those of the author and do not reflect the official policy or position of the group, its administrators, or other members. For official statements, please refer to AFAN’s official contact or platform”

AFAN is the umbrella organization for all farmers’ commodity associations in Nigeria. Its vision and mission is to assemble all Nigerian producers into one organization and provide a single interlocutor for the government to address agricultural issues with the farming community.
