What Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori failed to do in 2024

As the clock struck midnight on December 31, 2024, I settled into my favorite spot, surrounded by the quiet of the night, with a bottle of drink and a bowl of popcorn.

My phone was on silent mode, and I was ready to reflect on the year that had passed.

My mind began to wander, thinking about what the governor failed to do and the numerous achievements of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the “Golden Governor” of Delta State.

As I sat there, lost in thought, I remembered a chance encounter I had with a beautiful young lady in Abuja.

She had praised Governor Oborevwori’s leadership, saying that he was “heavy” – a slang term meaning exceptional.

I recalled how she had smiled, showing off her bright, white teeth, and how I had felt a sense of pride knowing that our governor was making waves beyond Delta State.

As I continued to reminisce, I started to think about what Governor Oborevwori had failed to do in 2024.

I took a sip of my drink, savoring the taste, and began to write down my thoughts.

But before I could put pen to paper, I heard a soft voice behind me.

“Ossai my baby, what’s taking you so long?” It was my wife, my babe, who had sneaked up on me. “You’ve been sitting there for hours, lost in thought. What’s on your mind?”

I turned to face her, smiling. “I’m just thinking about Governor Oborevwori’s achievements in 2024,” I replied. “He’s done so much for Delta State, but I’m trying to think of something he’s failed to do.”

My babe chuckled. “That’s a tough one,” she said. “But if I had to guess, I’d say he’s failed to disappoint the people of Delta State.”

I nodded in agreement. “You’re right,” I said. “Despite all the challenges he’s faced, Governor Oborevwori has consistently delivered on his promises.

He’s a true leader and a shining example of what it means to serve the people.”

As the night wore on, my babe and I continued to discuss Governor Oborevwori’s achievements, from his innovative infrastructure projects to his commitment to education, security and healthcare.

We talked about how he had created thousands of jobs and empowered young entrepreneurs through his various initiatives.

And as we talked, I realized that Governor Oborevwori’s greatest achievement wasn’t just about what he had done, but about what he had failed to do – disappoint the people of Delta State.

Just then, my babe turned to me and said, “You know, babe, I think Governor Oborevwori’s success is due to his ability to connect with the people.

He’s like a rockstar, minus the guitar and fancy hairdo.”

I chuckled. “You’re right,” I said. “He’s definitely got the charisma and the vision to lead Delta State to greatness.”

As the night drew to a close, my babe and I raised our glasses in a toast to Governor Oborevwori.

“To the ‘Golden Governor’ of Delta State,” we said in unison.

“May he continue to shine bright and lead our state to even greater heights!”
