The city of Owerri, Imo State capital, is set to come alive as renowned actress and producer Steph Nora Okere premieres her highly anticipated Igbo movie, “Inenwe Ala Dinma”. The film, directed by Victor Emeghara, promises to be a compelling narrative that explores marital challenges through the lens of Igbo cultural traditions.
The movie produced by Okere’s Afrovision Studios features an impressive ensemble cast including Vitalis Ndubuisi, Vincent Opurum, Nneoma Ukpabi, and Francis Nwafor.
Set against the backdrop of Imerienwe, Ngor Okpala in Imo State, the indigenous film follows a married couple’s journey of healing and reconciliation during an annual peace festival.
The language film offers audiences an intimate portrayal of local lifestyle and cultural heritage.
According to Okere, “Inenwe Ala Dinma” was her second Igbo language film, and she believes it’s time to tell their own stories in their own language. This approach allows for a deeper understanding of the story and easier role interpretation for both actors and the audience
The premiere, billed to be held at the Swiss International Beland Hotel in New Owerri, will feature a star-studded red carpet event starting at 2pm.
It will be spiced with a performance by the legendary Ogbarigbo Ghari dance troupe, adding an authentic cultural dimension to the premiere.
