A resounding ovation greeted the private screening of ‘Ori Ade Fadaka’, a gripping Yoruba classic tale set within the walls of a royal palace recently in Lagos.
The movie, which is due to be released in cinemas on February 7, 2025 explores themes of love, betrayal, power struggles, and family loyalty. Its story revolves around a sick king, his troubled royal household, and the intricate web of secrets and conflicts threatening the kingdom’s stability.
Starring Jide Kosoko, the ailing king, who believes his son, the prince, holds the key to his recovery, the movie blends epic and classical storytelling, dwelling on a child’s love and sacrifice to save his father’s life.

Kudirat expressed her resolve to showcase Yoruba culture through compelling narratives, adding “We want our voices to be heard globally; Yoruba is a language rich with strong stories.”
