The CAF Awards 2024 will shine a spotlight on African football’s finest, bringing together players, coaches, and distinguished guests in a grand ceremony at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday.
The prestigious event, set to begin at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT, 20:00 Cairo time, 21:00 East Africa time), will honor standout performances in African football over the past year.
Iconic figures in the sport will gather to celebrate the talent and diversity that make African football a cornerstone of the global game.
Two renowned hosts will lead the evening’s festivities: Kate Scott, an acclaimed international sports journalist, and Jalal Bouzrara, a veteran Moroccan media personality.
Kate Scott, a journalist with experience at CNN, SkySports, and CBS Sports, is a multilingual host fluent in English, French, Spanish, and German.
She has hosted prominent global events, including the Laureus World Sports Awards, and recently led CBS Sports’ coverage alongside Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards.
Expressing her excitement about hosting the CAF Awards, Scott said, “It will be a privilege to be on stage and in the same room as some of the most influential figures in football. African football gives soul to world football. The talent that emerges from this continent is immense, and the cultural diversity with which it is experienced makes African football one of the heartbeats of the global game.”
