Dada Eminence, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has commended the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for the commissioning of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Technology Innovation Complex (BATTIC).

Eminence praised the Minister for reshaping key areas within his ministry and bringing a results-driven approach that addresses long-standing challenges with urgency and precision.

He emphasized that the commissioning of BATTIC fulfilled President Bola Tinubu’s promise to make a positive impact across various sectors of the economy.

In a statement made available to Vanguard in Akure, Eminence said, “The complex and its services will enhance the country’s security architecture, improve the ease of doing business, and ultimately boost investor confidence in Nigeria.”

He also noted that the President’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions across government agencies, including the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), was evident in the creation of the complex.

Eminence remarked, “The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Technology Innovation Centre (BATTIC) is an achievement Nigeria should have realized many years ago. It brings Nigeria into the digital world and alleviates unnecessary verification stress for NIS officers.”

Describing the facility as a testament to Nigeria’s forward-thinking approach to digital transformation and national security, he added, “BATTIC is more than just a building; it’s a leap forward in modernizing, digitalizing, and enhancing our immigration infrastructure. It is a powerful tool in our ongoing efforts to safeguard the nation’s borders, manage migration effectively, and improve national security.”

Eminence lauded President Tinubu for fostering an environment where innovation can thrive, calling BATTIC “an indelible lifetime achievement that will benefit generations to come.”

The complex, he explained, includes several critical components, such as the Command-and-Control Centre for Regular Migration, the NIS Data Centre, Visa Approval Centre, Passport Personalization Centre, ECOWAS National Biometric Identity Card (ENBIC) Centre, and a 0.5KW Solar Farm that powers the entire facility.

Eminence concluded by praising the progress made under Tunji-Ojo’s leadership, noting that when the right people are in power, the nation moves forward and achieves the desired results.
