BENIN CITY – A Non-profit organisation, the Spirit of Edo Foundation, has hailed the appointment of Chief Emmanuel Iyase (Ihaza N’ Udo) as member representing Edo South senatorial district in the state’s Local Government Service Commission.

Iyase, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Egor Local Government Area, was among those recently appointed into the local government service commission by the state governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

In a message to Chief Iyase urging him to continue in his commitment to the welfare of the people, the founder of the group, Comrade Harrison Efe Ogiemwanre described the appointment as “well-deserved” and a “remarkable achievement.”

“This significant recognition is a testament to your unwavering dedication, exemplary leadership, and commitment to the progress and development of Edo South and the Edo State at large,” he said.

“I am confident that your wealth of experience and passion for service will contribute immensely to the success of the Commission’s mandate.

“As you embark on this new role, I pray for wisdom, strength, and guidance to enable you to make impactful contributions that will uplift our communities and bring honor to our great party, the APC,” Ogiemwanre noted.

The statement added: “This appointment also speaks to the ingenuity of the Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, who has continued to pick the best to join him in rebirthing the new Edo.“
