The Ayela Charity Foundation (ACF) has donated relief materials to widows and children to commemorate the festive season.
Tagged:”Ayela Charity Foundation Xmas Fest: Light up Isheri, A Christmas of Hope and Joy,” the event attracted over 100 widows and children who were given foodstuff including, rice, spaghetti, garri, snacks and clothing items.
Speaking at the event, founder of ACF, Bukola Ayela, noted that the foundation is committed to helping women and widows in underserved communities, and children in orphanage homes.
Ayela reiterated the foundation’s commitment to supporting humanity, adding that it has reached out and supported over 5,000 persons since it’s establishment.
She said: “This event in Isheri community is about giving food stuff to over 100 widows and children.
We are giving out to for them to enjoy the festive period and to be relieved from the economic hardship.
“For the children we gave them educational materials like books, pencils,water bottle and snacks so that when they go back to school they have things to use. We also gave out clothes shoes to the children. Over the years, we have been doing. This is the first time we are doing it in our community here . Our NGO is based in Isheri.
“We have impacted over 5,000 lives since we established this foundation. It has been easy raising, but we continue to try our best and affect humanity positively.
“We urge government to provide subsidy on food to ensure food security. Then youth and women should be empowered.
Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude and prayed for the foundation for putting smiles on their faces.
