In a bid to prepare secondary school students for innovation and opportunities in the global digital market, Maxzeeton Technology, in collaboration with the Borno Information Technology Development Agency (BICTDA), has launched a three-month training program in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital skills.

The initiative, flagged off in Maiduguri, is themed “Empowering Ideas, Empowering Communities”. The training aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to apply AI to real-world challenges, fostering creativity and innovation.

Speaking at the launch, Abdullahi Usman Abbati, CEO of Maxzeeton Technology, addressed the participants, urging them to approach the training with curiosity and determination.

“You are the stars of this program. Remember, every great innovation started as a simple idea. Your ideas can become the next big thing,” Abbati said.

He emphasized the transformative power of AI, describing it as a tool for addressing humanity’s greatest challenges. “Artificial Intelligence is no longer a concept for the future. It is transforming industries and creating solutions for communities worldwide. The young minds in this room have the potential to leverage it for meaningful change,” he added.

Abbati commended the Executive Secretary of BICTDA, Engr. Kabir Wanori, for his commitment to technology education and praised Governor Babagana Zulum for prioritizing technology development at both state and local government levels.

He called on stakeholders, including schools and industry players, to continue nurturing young talent by providing resources and mentorship, emphasizing the importance of sustaining efforts to build a tech-savvy generation.

Maxzeeton Technology, known for its expertise in software development, IT consultancy, telecommunications, and CCTV systems, has a dedicated academy for training students, graduates, and individuals in specialized IT fields.

The AI Bootcamp, part of Maxzeeton’s broader commitment to fostering digital literacy among youth, will culminate in a Hackathon competition. Winners of the competition will receive awards as a reward for their creativity and innovation.

Speaking at the event, Engr. Kabir Wanori described the program as a significant step towards preparing the youth for the rapidly evolving world of technology.

“At BICTDA, we believe that investing in the education and empowerment of our youth is the foundation for a prosperous and innovative future,” he said.

One of the participants, Almustapha Kabir Matazu, expressed excitement about the opportunity to learn AI and other technological skills.

“This training is a significant step as the world moves towards technological transformation. It will also help many of us discover our potential,” he noted.

The AI Bootcamp highlights Borno State’s commitment to empowering its youth through technology and equipping them with the tools needed to thrive in the digital economy.
