Benue Government condoles family over demise of Onjeh’s friend, Okoh

The Benue State Government has commiserated with the family of David Okoh (Comrade Onjeh’s friend and long-time associate) on the sad loss of their son, brother, and uncle. In a condolence message issued on December 4, 2024 and signed by His Excellency Dr Sam Ode mni, the Benue State Government expressed its heartfelt sympathies to the deceased’s family and his friends on the passing of their loved one. “My sincere condolences go to you as you navigate through this devastating loss,” Dr Ode stated.

Dr Ode, who also paid a condolence visit to his friend and political ally, Comrade Onjeh, at his Abuja residence on Friday 6, December 2024, said the late David Okoh was an amazing individual who touched the lives of many with his kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit. “His laughter and presence had a unique way of illuminating even the darkest of days,” Dr Ode stated. He further opined that the deceased embodied the essence of love and compassion, paving the way for others to follow in his footsteps. “The legacy he left,” Dr Ode emphasized, “is one of warm generosity and an enduring commitment to uplifting those in need.”

Even as the late David Okoh is finally laid to rest, Dr Ode enjoined the bereft to cherish the countless beautiful moments they shared with him. He urged them to reflect on the love he gave so freely and the lessons he imparted. “It is in these memories that you will find the strength to carry on his legacy, ensuring that his spirit lives on within each of you and in the lives of everyone he touched,” he stated.

Dr Ode concluded by stating that while he prayed for the repose of David Okoh’s soul, may the treasured memories of him bring those whom he left behind comfort and peace in this challenging period of their lives.
