The recognition, presented in November 2024, celebrates her commitment to preserving African identity through modern fashion while empowering women to wear their heritage with confidence. Known for her philosophy, Wear your identity boldly, Victory continues to redefine elegance through an Afrocentric lens.

Zeera Culture, founded in 2018, is a UK Nigerian fashion brand grounded in the belief that African fabrics can occupy both traditional and contemporary spaces. Her designs have appeared across European showcases and professional environments, reflecting cultural pride and modern sophistication.

“I created Zeera Culture to prove that African fashion belongs not only on runways but in boardrooms and international events. Fashion is my way of writing history through fabric,” she said.

Her background as a registered nurse in the United Kingdom is reflected in her attention to structure, precision and empathy in design. Balancing the healthcare profession and entrepreneurship demanded resilience, creativity and discipline.

“It has not always been easy, but every challenge helped me become more intentional with my work. I believe that when purpose leads the process, possibilities begin to unfold,” she explained.

Receiving the award marks an important milestone in her career. For Victory, this honour represents more than recognition. It is a validation of her mission to elevate African fashion to global relevance. “Being recognised by Empire Magazine Africa is deeply meaningful. It reminds me that staying authentic and embracing our roots can open doors across the world,” she said.

As she works towards expanding Zeera Culture internationally and mentoring young designers, this achievement strengthens her voice as a cultural ambassador. Her upcoming initiatives include a mini collection focused on modern African workwear and the empowerment campaign Wear Africa With Pride. Through these, she remains committed to helping women express identity with elegance.

Beyond design, Victory continues to raise awareness of the importance of cultural storytelling in fashion. She believes that what people wear should communicate values, dignity and identity. Through her creative direction, she encourages women to embrace heritage with pride and translate culture into modern visual expression.
