A Data Scientist, lbidapo lbikunle, has said that technology holds the key to unlocking the country’s vast development and economic potential.

Ibikunle said this in Akure, while delivering a keynote address at the Annual Tech Conference, themed “Technology: The Missing Link in Nigeria’s Economic Diversity.”

According to him, ” Nigeria has immense potential, but technology is the catalyst we need to unlock it.

“Data-driven solutions can help us optimize resources, improve decision-making, and foster sustainable growth across industries.

Ibikunle emphasized the transformative potential of technology in diversifying Nigeria’s economy.

He highlighted how advancements in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning could revolutionize key sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, education, and manufacturing.

Drawing from his experience as a data scientist, Ibikunle provided examples of how data analytics is being leveraged in other nations to drive economic diversification.

 He urged stakeholders to invest in technology-driven initiatives and prioritize digital literacy to ensure Nigeria remains competitive on the global stage.

The data scientist also called for collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors, stressing the importance of creating policies that foster innovation and encourage investment in technology.

According to him “The future of our economy depends on how well we embrace technology today.

“This is not just a missing link; it is the foundation for a more inclusive and resilient economy,” he added.
