A suspected member of a cult group, known as Peter Olokpa, has been severely stabbed during a suspected internal cult clash in Sapele Delta state.

Unconfirmed sources, however, told Vanguard that Olokpa had given up the ghost while he was being rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH, for medical attention.

The source said: “It is true that Olokpa was severely stabbed in the early hours of today during the  internal cult clash. In fact, he was being rushed down to the hospital for intensive treatment. However, people close to him informed us that they were about getting to UBTH when he gave up the ghost. We are yet to see his remains, but it appears true because people have been thrown into mourning.”

Vanguard further learnt that the fracas that led to his death was an illicit affair he had with another male cult member, but all efforts to get the name of the fellow cult member ended in futility. As at the time of filing inn this report the body of the late Peter olokpa has been deposited in the mortuary.

Our correspondent  gathered that a similar incident occurred sometime in March 2024 resulting in the death of one Innocent Ipumah who they believe to have aided the escape of one Solomon ipumah Kali  who’s a person of interest to the Nigerian police for his involvement in multiple illicit relationship cases.
