Demonstrating its ongoing dedication to sustainable and eco-friendly living, Victoria Crest Homes, one of Nigeria’s real estate players, launched its third eco-conscious community, Citadel Oasis, on Thursday.
This development continues the company’s mission to set new standards for green real estate in Nigeria and across Africa, creating quality living spaces that harmonize with the environment.
At the launch event, Victoria Crest Homes CEO, Ichechi Okonkwo spoke about the company’s passion for fostering sustainable communities.
She said: “We are committed to cultivating a culture of sustainability and hope to inspire others to join us on this journey. Together, we can transform the real estate landscape in Nigeria and beyond.”
Reflecting on the impact of Victoria Crest Homes’ projects, Okonkwo shared, “Today is a proud moment. It’s inspiring to witness the transformation of bare land into thriving communities where families can flourish. “With Citadel Oasis, we’re excited to introduce another innovative project—a flagship for Project 1026 and our third fully solar-powered community in Nigeria.”
The Citadel Oasis community embodies Victoria Crest Homes’ vision of environmentally responsible and sustainable living. Scheduled for completion within 12 months, this development offers potential homeowners a range of options, from two-bedroom apartments to expansive four-bedroom semi-detached duplexes. An early-bird discount of 7 percent is available for buyers who invest before the end of November.
Okonkwo explained: “Citadel Oasis represents our commitment to responsible development. By collaborating with leading experts in sustainable design, we are creating an ecosystem that benefits both residents and the environment.”
Okonkwo expressed deep appreciation for the financial and technical partners who play a critical role in making these developments a reality.
“To our financial partners, thank you for believing in our vision and for your steadfast support. Your partnership has empowered us to transform landscapes and enhance communities.
“To our technical partners, your expertise has been invaluable in building smart, sustainable communities that elevate the living experience for our residents.”
She also acknowledged the contributions of realtors and the Victoria Crest Homes team.
“Our Citadel communities—Citadel 1.0 and 2.0—reflect our commitment to quality and sustainable living, and we look forward to seeing this new community thrive for generations to come.”
Also speaking, Architect Kenny, who designed Citadel Oasis, described the community as a “sanctuary”—a peaceful and refreshing refuge amid the city’s busyness.
He said: “Citadel Oasis combines contemporary minimalism with high-quality, practical design, offering an array of housing options including two-bedroom flats and terraces, three-bedroom terraces, and four-bedroom semi-detached homes.
“Floor areas range from 110 to 250 square meters, with key features including open floor plans, fully equipped kitchens, and spaces that encourage community interaction.”
He noted that the community will be built with modern infrastructure and amenities designed to enhance the residents’ quality of life such as a gated entrance with CCTV surveillance and vehicle barriers for secure access.
According to him, “There will be a recreation, swimming pool, children’s play area, and a fully equipped gym.
“Advanced drainage systems to prevent flooding, spacious roads with a minimum width of 7.5 meters, allowing easy maneuvering and ample space between buildings.
“Then, 24-hour power with solar and generator backups, plus IoT integration for lighting and payment management,” explained.
Representatives from various partnering organizations, including structural contractors and mortgage firms, also shared their roles in bringing Citadel Oasis to life.
The project team eagerly anticipates the completion of Citadel Oasis, with plans for delivery by November 7, 2025.
