Ex-Power Minister Adebayo Adelabu
…calls for patience and unity
By Adeola Badru
The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has addressed ongoing sabotage within Nigeria’s power sector, declaring that attempts to hinder progress will not succeed. Speaking at the opening of Mosh Pharmacy and Supermarket in Ibadan, Adelabu highlighted strides being made in power supply improvements despite various challenges.
Acknowledging Nigeria’s longstanding power struggles, Adelabu noted that while advancements have been made, some individuals within the system seem intent on reversing these gains. He emphasized that a stable power supply is fundamental to economic growth and national development, assuring that the government is committed to long-term solutions.
“We know Nigerians are enduring difficult times; even the president understands this,” Adelabu said, adding, “This is ‘T-Pain’—temporary pain, not ‘Tinubu Pain.’ There’s always sweetness after bitterness. From ‘T-P,’ we are moving toward ‘P-G’—Permanent Gain.”
Drawing comparisons with transformative journeys in countries like Malaysia and Singapore, Adelabu praised President Bola Tinubu as a bold leader making tough decisions to secure Nigeria’s future prosperity. He encouraged Nigerians to support the president’s initiatives, emphasizing that Tinubu’s reforms aim to address decades of unresolved issues.
The minister also acknowledged Mrs. Bukola Peller, CEO of Mosh Pharmacy, commending her dedication over the years despite economic challenges. “Your passion and commitment to this business are commendable,” he said, noting her contributions to job creation and economic growth.
In her address, Pharm Olubola Peller reaffirmed her commitment to enhancing community health through quality service and called for greater investment in healthcare. Addressing Nigeria’s youth, she urged them to embrace opportunities to drive positive change, aligning her vision with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda for a better Nigeria.
