In a heartwarming ceremony held on his birthday, October 23, 2024, Afrobeat star Charles Enebeli, popularly known as Dprince, officially launched the Charles Enebeli Foundation in Asaba, Delta State.
Known for his music and role as the founder of Jonzing World, Dprince now steps into a new role as a philanthropist dedicated to community development and social welfare.
The event began with Dprince’s arrival in Asaba, where he was warmly welcomed by the Delta State Governor. The Governor’s presence was a testament to the support the foundation has from the state, emphasizing the significance of its mission. Following this, Dprince visited the Asagba of Asaba, Professor Epiphany Azinge, who honored him with a traditional welcome, underscoring the cultural importance of the occasion.
At the press conference, Dprince spoke passionately about his foundation’s mission to uplift underprivileged communities, stressing the importance of giving back and empowering lives. “This is just the beginning,” he stated. “We aim to make a difference, one life at a time.”
The highlight of the day came with Dprince’s visits to two local orphanages, where he donated essential items and spent time with children, spreading joy and hope. Later, he attended a thanksgiving service at his hometown church, expressing gratitude and pledging to provide new musical equipment to support their work.
