Veteran actor and playwright Bimbo Manuel, who has been consistent as an entertainer spanning more than four decades can only hope for better days ahead. The actor, who started his career as a broadcaster and show host is one of the most respected names in the Nigerian movie industry. He has remained relevant till date in the industry, winning awards and accolades following the quality of his works. Bimbo Manuel has been missing on the big screen for some time now but his absence in the industry was deliberate as he said, “I thought I was doing too much.”
Besides, most of his recent works are currently streaming on digital platforms. Bimbo, also revealed that he has been selective of the kind of scripts he accepts. According to him, “I have always been selective in the kind of jobs that I do because apart from respecting myself, I should also respect my fans because they respect me for the quality of jobs that I do. They can find it disappointing if they see me featuring in some substandard productions even if I am interpreting my roles very well”.
On what he wants to be remembered for, the veteran actor said his fans should remember the quality of jobs he has done and the positive impact he has made on the society with his craft.
