Renowned actress and Girl Child Advocate Amb. Steph-Nora Okere, is taking up the challenge of grooming the next generation of female filmmakers from her home state, Imo.
To this end, the actress is organizing what she calls, “The #ImoGirlsFilmmakingSummit”, which is billed to hold from December 1, to 7, in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
The summit is being organized by her NGO, Bigsister Care Foundation.
Shedding more light on the event, the light-complexioned actress said the event was to inspire and empower participants through film, offering workshops and conversations with the industry leaders and change makers.
Steph said the summit will afford young Imo women between the ages of 16 and 25, who want to become filmmakers the rare opportunity to achieve their dreams.
