ABUJA – Afrobeat sensation Nycee has officially begun her music journey, aiming to tackle social issues through her unique sound.
Nycee, whose real name is Nancy Bernard, was unveiled as the first artist of KuliKuli Entertainment USA at an event in Abuja, marking the start of her global music career under the guidance of Francis John, Executive Director of KuliKuli Entertainment.
With over a decade of music experience, Nycee says she is poised to inspire positive change by addressing real-life issues through her Afrobeat music.
Speaking at the event, Nycee emphasized her passion for creating music that conveys meaningful messages and inspires societal change.
She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with a team that shares her vision.
Nycee also shared her experience in the music industry, highlighting her focus on originality and authenticity.
She said, “I’ve been through management before. This isn’t my first experience, but they (KuliKuli Entertainment) see the vision I have. I feel truly blessed. I aim to create music that can influence society and change lives. I don’t draw from abstract ideas; I write about real issues. I prioritize being comfortable over being wealthy.
“Regarding contracts, I’ve learned from past experiences. I ensure everything is legal and vetted by my lawyer. We’ve reviewed the contract thoroughly to avoid any issues.
“For upcoming artists, know yourself before signing any contracts. Always work with a lawyer to guide you.”
The event highlighted Nycee’s original sound, which industry experts commended for its potential to inspire and uplift.
In her remarks, Dr. Halima Mahaja, CEO of Global Diverse Consortium, said: “Today is not just about launching a new musical talent. It’s about believing in the boundless possibilities of human potential.”

Together, we are paving the way for greatness, not only for her but for the entire AfroBeats movement.”
Calls for support were made to aid Nycee’s journey and charitable projects.
