With their rare blend of strategic clarity, operational expertise, and human-centered leadership, they are not only navigating the future of procurement—they are helping define it.

His leadership also ushered in innovations in packaging, labeling, and active ingredient sourcing—each initiative contributing to GSK’s global vaccine expansion strategy.

Before joining GSK, Tokuta spent a decade with Advanced Oncotherapy, where he rose to become Director of Supply Chain. There, he managed a $450 million operation supplying next-generation proton therapy systems for cancer treatment. His strategic oversight resulted in dramatic reductions in procurement costs, faster production timelines, and successful deployment of advanced oncology infrastructure—all while navigating the regulatory intricacies of global medical technology markets.

Tokuta’s career has also spanned impactful stints in consulting and petrochemicals, including a tenure with Proxima (part of Bain & Company), where he led procurement transformations for public healthcare institutions, and at Notore Petrochemical Industries in Nigeria, where he managed a $150 million procurement portfolio supporting major capital projects and energy systems.

What sets Tokuta apart is not only the scale of the numbers but the integrity of the vision behind them. He sees procurement not as a back-office function, but as a core enabler of innovation, continuity, and competitive advantage.

A firm believer In technology as a catalyst for excellence, Tokuta has led numerous enterprise-wide digital transformations—integrating ERP platforms like SAP and Oracle, deploying predictive analytics, and standardizing data visibility across supply networks. He has been equally committed to compliance, aligning operations with ISO, GMP, and GxP standards, and improving audit scores while mitigating regulatory risk.
