Farm Junction Foundation (FJF), a subsidiary of Farm Junction Limited, has announced the launch of its maiden “Most Beautiful Farmer (MBF) Lagos” project.

This innovative initiative aims to empower and celebrate Nigeria’s female farming community, while promoting agriculture as a desirable profession.

The MBF project combines technical training with a pageantry model to create a unique platform for female farmers to showcase their skills and knowledge. Participants will receive hands-on training in agricultural practices, communication, marketing, and distribution.

“We believe that by making farming cool, we can attract more young people to the agricultural sector. We want to celebrate the beauty and dedication of Nigeria’s female farmers.” said Dumebi Oluwole, Project Coordinator for the MBF program. “Our goal is to equip farmers with the tools they need to succeed and contribute to Nigeria’s food security.”

The pilot phase of the MBF project will take place in Lagos from September 15 to October 16, 2024, culminating in a grand finale on World Food Day. The winner will receive a brand new truck and seed funding worth over N5 million, while all participants will receive farming tools to improve their agricultural output.

Farm Junction’s CEO, Yinka Omogoye, emphasized the company’s commitment to empowering the farming community and improving Nigeria’s food value chain. “
