Firm partners Edo govt, empowers youths in AI, digital skills

Elite Global AI, in collaboration with the Edo State Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, and the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy, has hosted a conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and digital skills for youths in Edo State.

The event focused on empowering young people with AI knowledge and skills, assembling AI innovators, tech enthusiasts, investors, and government stakeholders to chart the future of AI in Nigeria.

Under the theme “Artificial Intelligence for a Sustainable Future: Challenges, Opportunities, and Ethics,”the conference explored the transformative potential of AI in shaping the next generation of leaders, equipping young minds with the tools to navigate and thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Vwakpor Efuetanu, CEO & Founder of Elite Global Intelligence Technologies, delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the company’s dedication to democratizing AI for the benefit of all, particularly the youth. “AI technology will change the world. We want to put AI in the hands of everyone and teach people how to use AI to build financial sustainability and empower themselves financially,” he noted. “At Elite Global AI, our goal is not only profit but to empower people.”

Hon. Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor, Edo State Honorable Commissioner for Science, Technology, and Innovation, echoed the significance of the initiative in positioning Edo State as a hub for innovation. “Our collaboration with Elite Global AI is part of our strategy to drive digital transformation in Edo. Empowering our young people with AI skills is essential for the future,” he stated.

Dr. Kamal Kuku, CEO of Redkam Technologies and one of the 100 Most Notable Africans, highlighted the need for responsible AI development. “We are the determinants of what happens to AI in the future, not AI itself. It is what we teach AI that defines its output,” he remarked.

In addition to these powerful speeches, the conference drew high-level representation from the Nigerian security forces. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Victor Tereoruwa, and Superintendent of Police (SP), Samson Kaddy from the Edo State Police Intelligence Bureau represented Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Arungua Nwauzei, and Edo State Commissioner of Police (CP), Funsho Adegboye, mni. These officials discussed the role of AI in modern policing and how technology can enhance public safety.

A key highlight was the unveiling of Elite Global Intelligence Technology’s AI product, the Elite Coach, which is set to launch in the last quarter of 2024. The Elite Coach, a career guidance and productivity tool, is designed to offer personalized career advice and improve workplace efficiency through AI-driven insights, aligning with Elite Global AI’s mission of empowering the youth and promoting job readiness.

The event also featured in-depth discussions and workshops on the ethical application of AI in sectors such as education, finance, and healthcare, providing young attendees with hands-on experience in AI technology. The message was clear: AI’s future is human-driven, and the youth must be equipped to harness its power responsibly.
