The Personal Assistant to the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC on media , Mr.Jerome Utomi has expressed gratitude to Engr. Christian Ijeh, a Cybersecurity expert based in Poland and several other prominent Deltans for noting the tremendous effort of the commission to light up streets in Delta state with its street light projects.
Jerome said it was gratifying to see that the numerous projects of the commission in Ika areas of Delta state since his boss the Chairman of the commission Mr Chiedu Ebie assumed office were being acknowledged and celebrated.
The media aide in his statement harped on the gratifying comments of the Poland based Cyber security expert .
His words: “It is gratifying that all acknowledge Ebie’s effort.
“Engr. Christian Ijeh, a cybersecurity expert based in Poland described, the recent successful installation of solar street lights across Ika nation, Delta State, by Mr. Chiedu Ebie, Chairman, Governing Board, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), as another shining example of how community leaders can harness innovation to address local challenges, noting that the effort is a remarkable step toward enhancing safety, security, and sustainable development.
“Ijeh”s message was contained in his well circulated heartfelt appreciation extended to Mr. Chiedu Ebie the Chairman, Governing Board of The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for this transformative initiative.
“According to the Omumu, Ika South Local Government Area, Delta state-born cybersecurity expert, the installation of solar street lights across Ika nation by Mr. Chiedu Ebie, has brought much-needed light to the streets, improving visibility at night, deterring crime, and promoting a sense of safety and community well-being.
“Ijeh, who holds professional background in protecting digital infrastructures and promoting community safety, and currently working with IT4KAN as a Firewall Administrator, and passionate about innovative solutions that foster security, sustainability, and resilience at both local and global levels, further noted that the installation of solar street lights is a testament to Mr. Ebie’s commitment to the welfare of the residents of Ika nation.
“Ijeh said this street light project is not only an upgrade to local infrastructure but also a bold statement about the importance of renewable energy in fostering community development. He said by embracing sustainable energy solutions, Mr. Ebie has demonstrated foresight and leadership that will have lasting benefits for the local community.
“Ebie’s efforts inspire confidence and hope, showcasing what dedicated leadership can achieve. The newly installed solar street lights will serve as a vital layer of protection and reassurance for the people of Ika South.

“This latest goodwill message is coming few days after a similar one by the President, South Carolina Organization of African Unity (OAU), and United States of America based Sir Tonna Okei (Ikuku Oma), where he in a similar vein stated that Mr. Chiedu Ebie’s led Governing Board and management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), was redefining public leadership in the Niger Delta region, through introduction of a paradigm shift that is transforming lives.
“Sir Tomma Okei also cited the nationally celebrated 132KV transmission line and 132KV/33KV substation in Ode Erinje, Okitipupa, Ondo state, built by Niger Delta Development Commission, ending 15 years of blackout at Ondo South Senatorial District, the 25.7km single carriage Ogbia-Nembe road project connecting 14 riverine communities with 53 culverts and seven bridges and the ongoing Youth Internship Programme for 10,000, others as latest evidence of ongoing sterling performance and collaborative efforts of the NDDC’s governing board and management. “
