In the recent 2024 National Common Entrance Examination, Bridge International Academiies’ pupils demonstrated a significant improvement in their performance, showcasing their academic prowess. This analysis explores the key factors contributing to this success, including average scores, gender distribution among top performers, subject-specific achievements, and consistency in core subjects like Mathematics and English.
Ezinne Tochie-Asogwa, the Director of Academics noted that over 40 Bridge pupils received merit-based admission offers to prestigious schools, including Queens College, Lagos; Federal Government College, Odogbolu; Federal Science and Technical College, Ijebu Mushin; Federal Science and Technical College, Ikare Akoko; Federal Government Girls College, Ipetumodu, Federal Government Girls College, Sagamu; Federal Government College, Ogbomoso; Federal Government College, Ohafia; and Federal Government Girls College, Oyo etc. Additionally, pupils secured scholarships to esteemed private institutions like Day Waterman College and Rainbow College.
Another very exciting data was the gender parity in pupils’ success. Both male and female pupils excelled, securing the top three positions. Akodu Abdulquayyum Akinola emerged the top-performing male pupil with a score of 198, while Halimah Osunfowora was the top-performing female pupil with a score of 185. Zivah Ndu, a female pupil and Ezekiel Oyekan, a male pupil tied for third place with a score of 179.
Pupils consistently excelled in core subjects like Mathematics and English, demonstrating a well-structured curriculum and effective teaching approach.
