For the first time in Big Brother Naija history, the “No Loose Guard” season introduced a unique twist: pairing up housemates.

This dynamic gameplay created a complex web of alliances and strategies, as housemates navigated the challenges of both individual and paired competition. However, as the season progressed, Big Brother decided to shake things up.

The ninth season of the show, aptly titled “No Loose Guard,” has taken an unexpected turn. After weeks of strategic alliances and paired gameplay, Big Brother has dissolved the pairs, forcing each housemate to compete individually. This dramatic twist has sent shockwaves through the house, as strategies crumble, new alliances are forged and friendships are tested.

In a surprising announcement after last Sunday’s eviction show, Biggie revealed that the pairs would be separated, marking a significant shift in the game. This decision had immediate repercussions, as housemates who had grown accustomed to relying on their partners were now forced to fend for themselves.

However before the unpairing, two pairs had emerged as strong contenders for the finale; DoubleKay and WanniXHandi. Both pairs had garnered significant fan support as evidenced by their high voting rankings in previous weeks and had consistently performed well in the challenges.

DoubleKay, consisting of married couple, Kellyrae and Kassia, had captivated viewers with their unique strategy. By keeping their marriage a secret from fellow housemates, they had managed to avoid suspicion and build a strong alliance. Their popularity among fans was evident in the voting results, as they secured the highest number of votes in the last eviction.

WanniXHandi, the twin duo, had also made a strong impression on viewers. Despite a recent altercation with a fellow housemate, their charm and dynamic had kept them from the brink of eviction. However, the unpairing presents a new challenge for the twins, as they would now have to compete against each other.

Following the unpairing, DoubleKay team have released an official statement outlining their new strategy. The statement explained that Kellyrae has always dreamt of being on the show and his wife Kassia joined to support him. Recognizing that Kellyrae has a stronger chance of winning, they have decided to focus their votes on him. This strategic move aims to maximize their votes and increase Kellyrae’s chances of advancing in the competition.
