The District Superintendent, Apostolic Faith Church, West and Central Africa Headquarters, WECA, Rev. Dr. Isaac Adigun has expressed a firm belief that Nigeria can be great again if its citizens, including the rulers, return to God. Speaking at a two-week camping meeting themed “Let’s repair the altar of the Lord,” commemorating the 80th anniversary of the church, Rev. Adigun highlighted the importance of restoring faith and reverence.
In his address at the music concert-themed “Our Gratitude,” Rev. Adigun emphasized the worldwide consequences of turning away from the Divine, citing the breakdown of laws and order as a direct result of distancing from God. Drawing parallels to the revival that transformed the United Kingdom into Great Britain during the Welsh Revival, he stressed the essential need for repentance and seeking divine intervention to address the societal challenges facing Nigeria.
“Coming back home to a country where fear of kidnapping and other issues have taken over, one feels powerless to effect change. In such a situation, consulting a higher power, God is imperative. We need to rebuild our spiritual connection and seek the help of God to save Nigeria. With divine intervention, Nigeria shall be great again,” Rev. Adigun stated.
The musical concert also featured a segment titled “The Story of Apostolic Faith Nigeria @80 told in Music,” which showcased the rich history of the church and its pillars, including the music ministry. The event provided a rare opportunity to witness the presence of the church’s founding members, reaffirming the enduring faith and legacy of the Apostolic Faith Church in Nigeria.
