To the glory God,  we  have seen the end of the  month of Perfection. Now we move, into a new beginning of Joy, Peace  and all the good things that God has for his children.

Brethren, there is no challenge that can be with you forever. It’s either that you kick out the challenge or the challenge kicks you out.

As a child of God, the only option for you is to kick out the challenge.   In most cases, your physical strength is not enough to kick out a challenge from your life.

The story of madam Hannah lends credence to our assertion that as human beings, there are many challenges that we are unable to overcome on our own.

Let’s see what Hannah did when she had Samuel after many years of barrenness.

1st Samuel 2 vs1 ( KJV): “ And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice  in their salvation”.

Celebration usually follows  the expiration of a challenge.

As it was for Hannah, so it is for most of us till today.

Hannah while acknowledging the awesome power of the LORD  said in verses 8 &9 of the same chapter.

“ He raiseth up the poor  out the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit  the throne of glory; for the pillars of the earth  are the LORD’s  and  he hath set the  world  upon them.

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail”.

Our emphasis is  “for by strength shall no man prevail”.  Hannah   experienced it.  She knew that her strength could not have made her prevail against the torment of Peninnah or overcome the challenge of barrenness.

She knew that her physical feature as the first choice of her husband  didn’t help her overcome barrenness.

How do you use the physical to tackle the invisible? . Even if the  manifestation of the challenge is visible, how do you tackle the source that is invisible?

It’s simply because either the challenge  has a spiritual origin or  it is beyond your capacity.

Therefore you need help but whose help do you need?

Is your case like Hannah’s?.   Perhaps you have visited many consultants without anything to show for it. Such visits  might  have drained your finances yet you have nothing to show for it.

That should make you know that your  physical  efforts aren’t enough to put an end to the challenge.

What you should do is, apply Hannah’s method?   Take your case to God in prayer and get the help of  God.

Brethren, it is only the power of God that can give you rest from  any challenge.  No matter how long the challenge has been in your life, the power of God is able to remove it.

Perhaps  you are familiar with the story of Elijah and King Ahab and the season of drought.

1st Kings 18 vs. 1: “ And it came to pass after may days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself  unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth”.

A period of drought  is the period of worries.  It is the period that challenges thrive. It is the period that  one is overwhelmed by challenges.

Let’s see  how  the Lord put an end to drought  during the reign of Ahab.

Verses 42 – 44: “ So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees.

And  said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing.

Note that Elijah prayed while he sent he servant to look out for the rain.

And he said, Go again seven times.

And  it came to pass at the seventh  time, that he said, Behold, there  ariseth a little cloud of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said , Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee  down, that he rain stop thee not”.

Note that it was not until the seventh time that an end came to drought.

Begin to see the end of that challenge in Jesus name.

Whatever has been dry in your life would receive the power of God for abundance  and a new beginning in Jesus name.

What if Elijah had  given up  that rain would fall after asking his servant to look out for the  sign of rain six times?

Perhaps, rain would still have fallen  because the Word of God never fails.

Elijah was patient.  He knew that God honours his Word.   So, he didn’t tell his servant to stop looking out for the sign of rain.

The lesson here for us is that, we should believe the Word of God concerning whatever situation we are passing through and wait patiently.

Waiting  patiently does not mean doing nothing. It means waiting prayerfully.

However, what is important for a child of God is to remain focused in order to have a breakthrough.

Hannah waited prayerfully and got a result  that gave her joy

Elijah did the same and also got a  similar result.

One must admit however, that the period of waiting isn’t an easy one.

It is the period that one may be misled by friends and even relations.

Brethren the power of God not only brought rain unto a dry land  but it  poured down rain in torrents.

It means that a dry land  recorded   heavy down pour.

Beloved, it means that whatever you lack now, if you can genuinely turn to Jesus for help, you would  have it in abundance.

You don’t believe?  It’s real and I’ll share with you a testimony.

A lady that had been barren for 18 years,   turned to the LORD when  no one could help her.  Even her husband had started behaving funny.

As she waited  patiently on the Lord in prayer and service, God suddenly showed up.  She got pregnant.

She had a set of triplets, two boys and a girl.

With this abundant blessing, she became the envy of her friends.  How?  Those who had only boys wished they had girls, those that had girls  wish they had a boy but the Almighty God with whom all things are possible gave her boys and  a girl and made the delivery so smooth.

Above all, she got an uncommon name “ Mother of triplets”.  Brethren that is what the Almighty God can do for those who prayerfully and patiently wait on him.

Let’s  take another look at the significance of seven in the Holy Bible.

Our Lord Jesus  after being nailed to the cross  that you and I may be saved , spoke seven times.

His seventh words   as recorded in Luke 23 vs. 46 are : “ Father, into your hands I commend my spirit”.

Our Lord Jesus  handed over to God the Father.

You too can take a cue.

Hand over that challenge to the LORD and  be prepared for a break through.

Jesus gave up the ghost but he rose from the dead to reign  forever.

Another significant mention of seven in the Holy Bible is found in Genesis 2 vs. 2&3:

“ And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made: and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made .

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in  it  he had rested from all  his work which God created and made”.

May God give you rest from all challenges with a new beginning  this month in Jesus name.

Do not be tired.  Only begin to watch out like Elijah and his servant.

What awaits you is   a new beginning  that would surprise you. Begin to rejoice for the season of rest is here.

Look forward to a new beginning in Jesus name.

Glory be to God.
