THE Leo Club, District 404 A3 Nigeria has said it will launch new initiatives aimed at addressing local needs, such as environmental clean-ups, health awareness campaigns, and educational support programmes in line with its eight global causes.

According to Leo Ridwan Ogunjide, District President for 2024/2025 Leos year, in his new year message, said the club will encourage members to develop and implement innovative service projects that can make a significant impact in their communities.

According to him, “As we embark on a new Lions Service Year, we are filled with immense pride and excitement. Our theme for this year, “Exploring New Horizons, Reaching New Heights,” represents our collective ambition and the boundless potential that lies within our vibrant community.

“The Leo Club is an international youth organisation of Lions International. It encourages young people to develop leadership qualities by participating in social service activities. Leos embody qualities of leadership, experience, and opportunity. We are a proud part of this global network, dedicated to serving our local communities and beyond.

“Our membership is composed of dynamic young individuals who are passionate about making a difference. We are proud to see our membership grow each year, attracting enthusiastic and dedicated members who bring diverse skills and perspectives. This year, we aim to further expand our membership, ensuring that more young people have the opportunity to contribute to our mission and benefit from the leadership development opportunities the Leo Club offers.

“This year presents us with a unique opportunity to expand our impact and explore uncharted territories in service. We will conduct outreach programmes in schools, universities, and communities to recruit new members. Regular workshops and seminars will be organised to enhance the leadership skills of our members.

“We will focus on strengthening our club’s administrative processes to ensure efficient and effective operations. Social events, team-building exercises, and collaborative projects will be organized to foster a sense of camaraderie and unity among members.”
