ABUJA – The Niger Delta Youths for Positive Change (NDYPC) has warned the Project Niger Delta (PND) to stop blackmailing Ijaw leaders in public office, describing their actions as distracting and misleading.

In a statement on Monday, NDYPC’s National Coordinator, Comrade Elliot Yibakeni Yibalua, addressed three key issues: the endorsement of Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, allegations of nepotism and betrayal of public trust, and the demand to ignore the endorsement.

NDYPC defended the endorsement of Dr. Otuaro, stating it was within constitutional powers. The group also dismissed allegations of nepotism and betrayal of public trust as unfounded and malicious.

The group further described PND’s demand that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ignore the endorsement as misplaced and disrespectful.

NDYPC urged PND to retract their statement, apologize for the harm caused, and refrain from further meddling in stakeholders’ engagement and efforts.

The group reiterated its commitment to promoting truth, fairness, and collaboration in the Niger Delta region.
