A group, the Congress of Ex-militant Leaders, CEL from the Niger Delta region has thrown its weight behind the Africa’s richest business mogul, Aliko Dangote.

The group co-founded by Owoupele Owous a.k.a Lord Onipa and  Seiyefa Gbedeke a.k.a Cairo in a statement issued in Abuja, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent have thrown its weight behind Dangote.

CEL commended the courage and the timeliness reaction from the Dangote management saying the outcry of the Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the Dangote Group may eventually change the tide against “Mafia”, which the Congress described as the hotbed of oil thieves aiding and abetting oil theft in Nigeria with both their local and foreign collaborators.

The statement noted that the wanton corruption in the petroleum industry is unimaginable.

The group called on the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government to action against those fight Dangote, noting that whether the Nigerian Petroleum industry likes it or not, Dangote must supply its products in the Nigerian market on the scheduled kick off date.

“We called on the pride of our nation, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, to go all out to saturate the Nigerian market with his Petroleum products whether the devil likes it or not. The Mafia must be dismantled, nilly willy and the local refineries shall come back to life with a concerted effort by the FG we shall soon heave a sigh of relief in this direction.

“We call on the President to ensure  Dangote Petroleum products hit our market. The security agencies should more than ever before build a wall of defence around the Chairman of Dangote group. We stand on the side of the man who has elected to remove Nigerians from the woods,” the group stated.
