Stakeholders in the insurance industry have commended the tenure of Mr. Olusegun Omosehin, the immediate past Chairman of Nigerian Insurers Association NIA, as well as Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, the outgoing Director-General of the NIA.

The stakeholders who spoke at a send forth ceremony organised by the NIA in Lagos for the two industry leaders said that both contributed immensely to the growth and development of the insurance sector.

The Chairman of NEM Insurance Plc, Mr. Tope Smart, while commending Omosehin, said: “He is very professional, very hardworking. He is a man of integrity who is very passionate about the industry. He actually excelled everywhere he worked. He is a man who dedicated virtually everything to his work, he has the drive and energy.”

While speaking about Ilori, Smart said: “One thing that stands out is the building of NIA where we are today, and that has really changed the face of the insurance industry in Nigeria. Even professionals who came from outside the country that went to NIA were so impressed and they decided that they were going to go back and replicate what we have done in NIA, so kudos to Ilori.”
The President, Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Babatunde Oguntade, lauded the achievements of the celebrants. He said that they have the right character to do the work. While noting that Omosehin is the Commissioner for all, he stressed the need for all sectors in the insurance industry to collaborate on the industry’s growth.
The Deputy Chairman NIA Mrs. Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, applauded the contributions of the duo, stating that their impacts have helped the industry greatly.
