All Progressives Congress, APC , in Delta state has warned against alleged plan to rig Saturday’s local government council election in the state, saying it would do everything within the ambit of the law to challenge such act.

A chieftain of the party, Chief Ayiri Emami spoke when he, the Delta south senatorial Chairman of the party, Hon Austin Oribioye and other leaders of the party in the senatorial district presented flags to the party’s Chairmanship candidates in Warri south West, Comrade Bene Mamamu Youkore and his counterpart in Warri north , Chief Samuel Omamuli.

Presenting the flag to Comrade Mamamu at a campaign rally in OgbeIjoh, headquaters of Warri south West local government area, Ayiri enjoined the electorates to vote massively for all candidates of the party in the Saturday’s election.

He made similar appeal in Koko , headquarters of Warri north local government area at a campaign rally to hand over the party’s flag to the Chairmanship candidate of the local government area, Chief Samuel Omamuli.

Ayiri at the various rallies decries alleged plot by one of the parties to rig the election, adding that his party would not relent in its drive for victory at the polls.

He also urged Nigerians to support local government autonomy in the country, saying it would further consolidate the nation’s democracy.

His words :“Some of us are very sure that if they bring materials, people will not vote PDP in this state. If you see all my statements in the places I have gone for campaign, I say this people say they want state police, they clamour that there is insecurity and they want state policing but just this little assignment that is given to state governments to conduct local government elections the whole exercised is rigged by the governments.

“But we pray the case would be different in Delta. Whether they will write their results or not, we need to be on ground to vote. We need to come out, talk to our members to be on guard, let it be that they didn’t bring materials on that day but if they bring materials, I am confident that our candidates will definitely win. We’re campaigning for our councillors and Chairmanship candidates in the three Warri councils. “
