The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the Alimosho local government of Lagos State has announced the indefinite suspension of the former state chairman of party, Mr. Segun Adewale, also known as Aeroland, for alleged anti-party activities.
Aeroland, who was suspended by the party for one month in 2021 for anti-party activities was declared suspended indefinitely.
Fielding questions from newsmen at the party secretariat on Tuesday, chairman of the party in Alimosho Alhaji Shodiya Isiaka, disclosed that the matter was reported to the elder council so as to explore the crisis-resolving mechanism embedded within the party.
According to the chairman, “The Elders’ Council, in their wisdom, involved all the concerned members; it’s only Mr. Segun Adewale that refused to honour the invitation.
Among the offenses listed against him were: false allegation against the LGA excos on money; presenting the national body of the PDP as a body of bribe seekers;
threatening party members with violence that is likely to lead to maiming or deaths; promoting factors; and creating a parallel group against the authentic party structures.
“The aforementioned offenses are in flagrant violation of the party’s constitution. Hiving satisfied with the section of the PDP constitution, the executive of Alimosho has no choice but to follow Section 59(1), Subsection D, and pronounced that Mr. Segun Adewale from Ward 10(M1) is here by being suspended indefinitely.”
