I want to create music that moves people – Singer, Sty-Low

Sty-Low is taking the internet by storm with his infectious brand of hip-hop. Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, but raised in Toronto, Sty-Low’s music is a unique blend of positivity and smooth grooves, a welcome departure from the often-explicit world of rap.

“I remember seeing Bone Thugs-N-Harmony on TV as a kid,” Sty-Low says, a smile breaking across his face. “That was the ‘aha’ moment for me. I knew I wanted to create music that moved people the way that theirs did.”

Sty-Low’s journey began around 2010, crafting beats and then weaving his own lyrics over them. “It was all me from the beginning,” he stated. “No handouts, just pure passion.” This dedication has paid off in a big way. His recent track, “Kaptav8’n,” has racked up over 1 million views on YouTube, a testament to the rapper’s growing fanbase.

“Everytime my videos hit a million views lets me know my fan base is growing,” Sty-Low stated. “But it’s just the beginning. I want to keep pushing positivity through my music, to show people that you can succeed without negativity.” This commitment to clean lyrics and uplifting messages sets Sty-Low apart from many of his contemporaries.

“There’s a place for all kinds of music,” Sty-Low says thoughtfully, “but I want to create something that families can enjoy together. Something that makes you feel great.” Drawing inspiration from legends like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, 2pac, and Dr. Dre, Sty-Low blends classic West Coast hip-hop with smooth R&B for a sound that’s both familiar and fresh.

With his infectious energy and positive message, Sty-Low is poised to become a major force in the music industry.
