Dr. Peter Bamkole has been appointed as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Pan-Atlantic University, PAU, with effect from June 19. This announcement was made by the Pan-Atlantic University Governing Council, with a statement signed by PAU communication officer, Temitope Falade.

“We are pleased to announce that the Pan-Atlantic University Governing Council has approved the appointment of Dr. Peter Bamkole, the current Chief Operating Officer, as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the University. His appointment took effect on June 19, 2024,” the statement read.

Bamkole brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the pioneer Director of the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) at Pan-Atlantic University from January 2003 to December 2022.

He is a Mechanical Engineer with an MBA from IESE Business School, Barcelona Spain and a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the International School of Management (ISM), Paris. He is also an alumnus of Lagos Business School (Chief Executive Programme).

In addition to his academic achievements, he also has 39 years of cognate experience spanning both public and private sectors, including Oil & Gas, Water supply, and Education. He has consulted widely in Sub-Saharan Africa on entrepreneurship development and practice and is the author of the book “Built by Enterprise.”

With a distinguished career, Bamkole serves on several boards including Zenith Bank, Nigeria Plc as an Independent Non-Executive Director, Nigeria Climate Innovation Centre as Chairman, International Breweries Foundation and Global Entrepreneurship Network, Nigeria, Novare Real Estate Investment Nigeria, and Lagos State Research and Innovation Council among others. He is also a fellow of the Society for Corporate Governance, Nigeria.

Congratulations poured in for Dr. Bamkole, with the university expressing its well wishes for his success in the new position.
