The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished, Adetokunbo Abiru, described the passing of Mr Gboyega Soyannwo, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as shocking.

The lawmaker, in a statement issued by his media aide, Mr Enitan Olukotun, in Lagos on Thursday, also said the sudden death was a huge loss to his family, friends and the Lagos State Government.

According to Abiru, “Late Gboyega Soyannwo was my friend, brother and a junior colleague in banking.

“He extended his contributions to the development of Lagos State, particularly the pivotal role he played in the administration of Governor Sanwo-Olu.”

The Senator prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, praying that Almighty God should give the family, children and loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
