Veteran Nollywood actor, Prince Emeka Ani has revealed that his several years of battle with diabetes and other health challenges came to end when he began to take Ruzu herbal bitters.

The 68 year old actor, disclosed this while speaking to pressmen at the first Go Wellness Mega seminar held in Ikeja Lagos at the weekend

According to him, “I have been suffering from diabetes and other related infections for three good years. I had gone to a hospital in Germany for this same health issues, the doctors gave me cartons of medications and when I got back, I took all the medications, the situation remained the same. It will only calm down immediately. I stopped taking them and it increased again. I kept suffering and suffering. Those who are close to me, know my story.”

Explaining further, Prince Ani said: “I met doctor Uzu in an event in Delta state some months back. I explained to him what I was going through with my health. We went to where he parked his car; he opened the booth and gave me some Ruzu herbal products. He explained the dosage of each to me. I followed his instructions and after taking the Ruzu herbal bitters and other products that evening, in the morning I noticed a lot of difference in my body, I felt like a 35 year old man. That development made me come to Lagos to see Dr Uzu Onyemaechi Roberts for more consultations. He administered more Ruzu products which I have been taking. Today, I am a very strong man, diabetes is no more in me, other related diseases have all disappeared,”he added.

Speaking at the occasion, another popular veteran actor, Charles Okafor said Prince Ani would have died. “At some point, his leg started decomposing, people were running away from him because of the sore on his leg before he started taking Ruzu herbal products. It was a chance meeting between Chief Emeka Ani and Dr Uzu that restored his health.

“What Phytomedicine expert, Professor McDonald Idu, of the department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology, University of Benin, has done in collaboration with Dr Uzu has saved and continued to safe lives. I am a living testimony to these products. The last thing that goes into my mouth every night and the first thing that comes into my mouth are two table spoonfuls of Ruzu bitters. Ruzu bitters is regenerative, it heals, it keeps you alive and well, it detoxifies the body system.”

Lamenting the lack of herbal faculty in our tertiary institution Charles Okafor said we have undermined the herbal dimension of medical culture of healing. Nigerians, continued, should learn to live right, live healthy, and engage in lifestyle audit.

Meanwhile, the Chairman Go Wellness Worldwide Limited, and CEO of Ruzu herbal products and services limited, Dr Uzu Oyemaechi Roberts has called on the Federal government to establish the council bill to manage the activities of herbal products manufacturers.

According to Dr Uzu, “like we have the medical and dental council of Nigeria, we need to have council managing and regulating the traditional medicine and herbal practitioners in Nigeria. We can’t be under the medical and dental council of Nigeria simply because they don’t understand what we are doing. This is very important and the government needs to pay close attention to it.

“I am using this opportunity to appeal to the government to enact a council bill, so that we will be able to regulate the practice of herbal medicine. By so doing, we will able to examine quack herbal doctors and introduce the modern herbal practice to them. Whether you like it or not, people will continue to patronise them. If you go to villages, they patronise them. So, all we have to do is have a regulation that will be able to recognise the practice.”

Explaining further, he stated that: “We need also a herbal institute. Imagine going to Sri Lanka to study complementary medicine or acupuncture when we have so many universities in Nigeria. What are the universities doing? Why can’t the government and relevant authorities introduce courses where people can study traditional medicine from certificates course to PHD level? The time is ripe for us to integrate into the primary health delivery system whereby if you go to government hospitals, you can go for either orthodox or herbal, it is happening in other countries, why not Nigeria.”

Speaking on the benefits of herbal remedies, Board member, Go wellness worldwide, Ambassador Ijeoma Chukwu stated; “This is the time for government to look into the herbal manufacturing sector and empower the sector to grow. The sector has a lot of potentials, especially as it creates employment opportunities for young people who market these herbal products like Ruzu products.

“We have range of products like: balm for people who have arthritis, joint pains, Ruzu wine, made from leaves and roots in Nigeria, Ruzu bitters which is the king of the product amazing product that lowers the blood sugar and blood pressure and also help people to come out of different kinds of health related issues”
