Ogbonna hails Nevobasi on reappointment as Agwu traditional rulers Chair

The Igwe-elect of Ogugu Ntu-Egbenese Ancient Kingdom in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Chief Aloysius Ogbonna has congratulated Igwe of Agunese Mmaku, Cyprian Mmaduabuchi Nevobasi on his reappointment as the Chairman, Council of Traditional Rulers, Awgu Local Government Area.

Chief Ogbonna conveyed his congratulatory message to the monarch on Monday, in a press statement which he personally signed and sent to newsmen in Enugu.

He posited that Igwe Nevobasi’s reappointment is a reflection of exceptional leadership and steadfast dedication of Igwe Nevobasi on his community

“On behalf of the entire Ogugu Ntu-Egbenese Ancient Kingdom, I extend my sincerest congratulations to you on your reappointment by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State as the Chairman, Council of Traditional Rulers, Awgu Local Government Area.

“Since your birth in the mid 1960s, and your ascension to the throne on January 18, 2004, as Ezeani III of Mmaku, presiding over Agunese Omeluenyi Mmaku, you have been a beacon of wisdom and guidance.

Your reign has been marked by peace, progress, and the preservation of our rich cultural heritage. Your reappointment is a recognition of the profound impact you have had on our people and the trust you have garnered over the years.

“The role of the Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers is critical, requiring wisdom, diplomacy, and a deep understanding of our traditions and modern challenges. Your leadership in this role will undoubtedly continue to bring harmony and development to Awgu Local Government Area. He however lauded the Enugu State governor, Barr. Peter Mbah for reappointing Igwe Nevobasi, adding that his decision reflects commitment to upholding tradition while fostering progress and unity in the state.

He pledged to toe the step of Igwe Nevobasi in his journey as a traditional ruler of Ogugu Ntu-Egbenese Ancient Kingdom in Awgu Local Government Area.

“In this regard, I also commend Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for recognizing your invaluable contributions and appointing you to this pivotal role. His decision reflects his commitment to upholding tradition while fostering progress and unity in Enugu State.
