Hoodlums on Friday, blocked Kuta Road in Minna, the Niger State capital. They reportedly attacked people going for Tahajud prayers.
The incident according to reports happened around 1am.
One of the residents, Aliyu Isah, said hoodlums armed with dangerous weapons have been openly holding resident’s hostage in Minna for the past five days.

Areas they mostly operate according to Aliyu Isah include: Kpakungu, Soje, Anguwan Daji, Limawa, Ogbomosho among others.
When contacted, the Niger State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said police were on top of the situation, noting that “Police patrol teams have always been responding to the issue, and arrests were being made at every location of the scene.”
