NIESV gets second vice president

The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) has elected Dr. Emmanuel Mark as the second vice president of the institution. 

In a keenly contested election held by the institution between April 8 to 18, 2024 at the annual conference in Benin, Edo State, Dr. Mark who is a lawyer, valuer, right-of-way consultant, and chartered estate surveyor, who also holds PhD in Environmental management was elected with a certificate of return issued on the April 20, 2024. 

Speaking on his election, Dr. Mark said, “With all sense of responsibility and humility, I am deeply honored to have been elected as the second Vice President of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.”

The elated Surveyor stated that his victory would not have been possible without the guidance of Almighty and the unwavering support he received from the members. 

“As you all know, our institution, as envisioned by our elders, is built by our compassion toward each other, our commitment to decency, and our faith in our colleagues. Now is the time for us to be united as an institution so that we can genuinely better our lives and practices.

“Together, we can continue to elevate the standards and professionalism of Estate Surveying and Valuation in Nigeria and beyond. I look forward to collaborating with all members to drive progress and bring about positive changes that will benefit our profession and the society as a whole.

“Once again, congratulations to all the members on the successful completion of the Edo 2024 Conference, and thank you for your continued support and participation in the institution’s activities. Let us work together towards a brighter future for our institution,” Mark stated. 

A passionate real estate practitioner, Dr Emmanuel Mark is one of the founders of Nuel Mark & Partners, Nigeria’s foremost real estate company. He has held several positions within the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), Rivers State chapter where he was one time National Publicity Secretary, Chairman of the Institution’s Corporate Affairs Committee, Member of the Institution’s Membership Committee and Member of the Professional Practice Committee of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVABON).
