Match-winner Oshoala makes history with Bay FC in NWSL

Bay FC defeated Angel City FC 1-0, with Asisat Oshoala scoring the team’s first-ever goal in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

Seventeen minutes into her debut for the newly purchased squad, Oshoala scored the game-winning goal.

The 29-year-old left Barcelona Ladies to join Albertin Montoya’s team last Monday.

Before completing a transfer to Bay FC in the United States, the forward had a successful stint at Barcelona.

Oshoala made 101 league appearance with Barcelona and scored 85 goals.

At the club, the former Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies player won the UEFA Women’s Champions League twice.
