A 15-year-old boy, Master David Abiodun, who is presently down with kidney failure has cried out for help from good spirited individuals and corporate bodies to enable him stay alive.
Master David, is receiving treatment at Healing Stripes Hospital in Lagos and needs an average of N15m for kidney transplant.
According to his doctor at the hospital, “Master David Abiodun had generalized body swelling and excessive proteinuria (Nephrotic syndrome that is resistant to steroid). He however developed kidney failure about two years ago and commenced dialysis about a year ago. His parents have sold virtually everything they have and unfortunately they are still unable to offer him appropriate care largely owing to financial constraints. Master David requires an average of about 200,000 naira weekly for dialysis and adjunctive treatment to remain alive. His long term treatment goal would be a kidney transplant which is out of their reach and typically will cost an average of 15 million”.
