The President of Oladunni Odu Leadership Advocacy Foundation, (ODLAF) Princess Oladunni Odu, has described the death of the governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress in Ondo state, Dr Paul Akintelure as a devastating loss to the state, the medical profession and humanity.
Odu, in a statement entitled ” Akintelure; a quintessential gentleman has left us devastated” described the late politician as “a clear example of who a statesman should be.
The former Secretary to the Ondo state Government SSG, noted that Akintelure’s conduct as a political office seeker had made it clear that politics could be played as a decent game irrespective of the height a person wants to attain.
According to her ” Akintelure was not a desperate or rough politician, his training as a medical professional was evident in his political journey”

Odu, who was a former commissioner, while commiserating with his wife and children, his extended family, APC, Igbotako community, Ikaleland and the state, noted that “humanity had lost one of its finest human beings, an asset to intellectualism and a pathfinder to the kind of society that Nigerians crave.
“Akintelure left at a time when he was set to give his all to society and I am sure he will be immortalized in the hearts of the people”
The ODLAF President prayed for the repose of Akintelure’s soul and expressed hope that more politicians would emulate his decency, forthrightness, clear mindedness and sincerity of purpose, noting that ” it is the best way to immortalize him.
