Label manager and music executive, Gbemiro Daniel, has taken time to reflect on his experience working on one of Afrobeats’ biggest albums, ‘Timeless’ by Davido.
The label manager at Sony Music Entertainment West Africa oversaw the release of the album, which subsequently got three nominations at the Grammys and over 3 billion streams worldwide.

Although Gbemiro has worked on various projects including one for Beyoncé, he, however, singled out Davido’s project as his standout experience.
“One standout experience was overseeing the release of Davido’s highly anticipated album, where I coordinated marketing efforts, managed timelines, and ensured seamless collaboration between various teams,” said Gbemiro.
“Despite facing tight deadlines and unexpected challenges, my strategic approach and attention to details helped to deliver a successful launch, resulting in widespread acclaim and commercial success for the artist.”
Speaking further, Gbemiro avowed that his sole objective in the music industry is to support emerging talents and foster sustainable growth.
“My big goal is to continue making meaningful contributions to the music industry by leveraging my diverse skill set and experiences to drive innovation, support emerging talent, and foster sustainable growth. Whether it’s through discovering new artists, developing impactful projects, or shaping industry trends, I am committed to leaving a lasting legacy that positively impacts artists, audiences, and the music community as a whole.”
