EFCC visit ‘procedural and routine’, says Abdulfatah

A former governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has stated that there was nothing unusual about his visit to the Economic Financial and Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The financial expert, who was governor of the state between 2011 and 2019, was being interrogated at the EFCC’s zonal office in Ilorin.

Abdulfatah, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulwahab Oba, disclosed that he only honoured an invitation by the anti-graft agency.

He also stated that the governor is ready to answer questions about his time as governor of the state.

“Dr Ahmed’s visit to the EFCC is procedural and routine. He was invited, and he honoured them as he’s always done.

“He’s always ready to respond to any query or question regarding his tenure as governor of the state.
So, there’s nothing unusual about the invitation and his honouring the anti-graft agency.”
