A total of 155 youths of Bayelsa State have been short-listed to sit for the rescheduled computer -based test for the Azikel Aviation training programme
The computer based test, which was earlier set for February 20, 2024 is now scheduled for March 5, 2024.
The Azikel Aviation training programme is a prestigious initiative supporting Bayelsa youths aspiring for aviation training in Pilot for Helicopter, Fixed Wing Aeroplane, and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in the United States of America.
The President of Azikel Group, Dr Godbless Azibapu-Eruani, CFR, while addressing the shortlisted candidates at the Federal University Otuoke ICT Centre, encourage them to study diligently and aim for high scores in the rescheduled computer-based test
Dr. Azibapu-Eruani emphasized the importance of rigorous study and adherence to examination rules, stressing that securing at least 80 percent of scores is a prerequisite for selection into the training program, with no room for malpractice.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Otuoke, Professor Teddy Adias, urged candidates to seize the opportunity, familiarize themselves with the test manual, and be punctual on March 5, while the Member Representing Ekeremor Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon Tare Porri, commended Azikel Group and its partners for the initiative, pledging to advocate for such beneficial programs in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
Speaking to newsmen, the Azikel Aviation Training Programme Coordinator, Mr. Jidayi Ijuptil Ardo, explained that the rescheduling was due to unexpected challenges, however highlighting the program’s aim to provide top-notch aviation training in the United States for young Bayelsa youths.
On his part, Deacon Robert Igali, Special Assistant on New Media to the Azikel Group President, emphasized the importance of private sector involvement in youth development, noting that Dr. Azibapu-Eruani’s initiative aims to empower Bayelsa youths not only to be self-reliant but also to contribute to the empowerment of others.
