**As it celebrates singer’s posthumous birthday
The Justice for Mohbad group has called on relevant authorities to conclude investigation into the death of late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, otherwise known as Mohbad.
The group lamented what it described as the deceased family’s inability to get closure due to protracted legal processes.
They spoke while celebrating Mohbad’s posthumous birthday with orphans at Oko Baba and Modupe Cole, in Lagos.
According to the group’s representative, King White, they, through the posthumous birthday celebration, were reminding “the world of the need for those that have turned seeking justice for Mohbad into bullying. Say no to bully.”
White added that “while we are celebrating Mohbad’s posthumous birthday, we need to let the world know what some people have turned the JusticeForMohbad campaign into. They have successfully set families against each other. However, we would put light on their evil and get them to stop. Even though painful, the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba should be the end of bullying in our society, but that would not happen if the government doesn’t ensure justice in the case.”
Mohbad, a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter from Lagos died at the age of 27.
Police subsequently announced they would investigate the circumstances of the singer’s death after his body was exhumed on September 21, 2023.
