Ivory Coast midfielder Seko Fofana has warned Nigeria’s Super Eagles that his team is prepared to face them when the two sides meet on Thursday evening at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Fofana, who scored the tournament’s first goal against Guinea-Bissau last Sunday, said Ivory Coast would have to fight hard to beat the Super Eagles.
Speaking to CAF’s website, the Al-Nassr star said: “I know how decisive this match is, Nigeria wants to win this match and they are a very big opponent.
“We are ready, there is no doubt about that. It will be up to us to approach the match and work hard for a victory.”
Ivory Coast are on top of Group A with three points after one game, while Nigeria is in third with one point.
The match starts at 6:00 p.m., Nigerian time.
